He went to cardiologist Monday. Will have an Echogram (heart) next Tuesday, blood drawn Monday, see his local doc Thursday, take Glenna to doc on Wednesday, get hooked up to a 3 day heart monitor on Friday; all next week. Cardio doc wants to know what is happening with his heart when his b/p drops like it does.
He does not qualify to participate in the Baylor study because he has not been diagnosed with SCA 10 (spinocerebellar ataxia). They have , however offered to make an appoint ment with the doc who is running the study. P says no, for now, maybe later.
Still waiting to hear from Mayo at Jacksonville.

Call me crazy, but with the b/p delta, I feel like we have something.
I was unclear about the heart monitor. It will be attached on Friday and P will wear it around at home for 3 days, then return to have it removed and read.
I was just fretting about Daddy this morning (don't know why) and was glad to see some action when checking in today (was away from the computer yesterday). Sorry about the Baylor study, but glad he hasn't been diagnosed with whatever that is.
Sorry about the Bears (Chicago and Baylor). I understand his not wanting to see that doc just yet. Here´s hoping the heart results give us something to work with! Thanks for the info.
UPDATE ON HEART MONITOR Turns out it is supposed to be a 30 day monitor. P pushes the button when he stands up and it records two minutes each time. After 6 recordings, he calls an 800 number to transfer the info over the phone and reset the recorder for six more. Pain. He's skips sometimes when he stands up cause he gets tired of calling them 10 times a day. He plans to check with the cardio doc this week to see if 30 days is necessary.

Technology´s not so bad. I recommend speed dial.
