Faulkner vs. Gaines
I recalled one of Agatha's favorite books to be As I Lay Dying, and then read it. Pretty depressing. Afterwards, I checked Agatha's list again and saw that the favorite book mentioned is A Lesson Before Dying. Possibly somewhat different plot. I have that book and will read it too.

It might be "A Kiss Before Dying". Or maybe she just likes "Physical Graffiti".
I heard "As I Lay Dying" was the last book John Henry Bonham read.
